About the Wisconsin Alumni Club of Austin
The club's mission is to:
* cooperate with WAA in promoting the best interests of the university.
* encourage qualified young people to attend UW-Madison
* support local students attending the University of Wisconsin
* provide UW-Madison alumni, parents, and students in the area with a
local connection to the university.
* foster fellowship and cooperation among alumni and friends of the UW.
* serve as a tool for networking in the local job market.
* provide leadership in the support of higher education.
* socialize in the famous Badger tradition!
* assist and support UW student and alumni organizations.
* maintain awareness of legislative developments affecting the university.
To learn more about getting involved with our chapter, please contact one
of our club leaders. We welcome ideas for activities as well as volunteers
to plan or host events.
Support Local Students! Give to the UW Alumni Club of Austin
Scholarship Fund. All funds collected, up to $8,000, will be matched by
the UW Foundation. All proceeds will go to deserving local students
attending UW-Madison.
